Bhubaneswar: Police on Thursday started an investigation into the uploading of a photo of Lord Lingaraj on social media recently.
Notwithstanding a restriction on mobile phones inside the Lingaraj temple here and tight security, one Pradipta Patra had managed to click a photo of the deity in Damodar Besha on October 14. He later uploaded the photo on his Facebook page.
After the post triggered a negative buzz, Patra deleted it.
Notably, Lord Shiva dons Damodar Besha everyday during the holy month of Kartika.
