Bhubaneswar Couple Savours Sweet Success With Choco Start-Up

With Diwali just round the corner, if your sweet tooth is craving to try something new, delicious, homely and yet classy, then here is one chocolate brand to floor you.

A series of chocolates and sweets by Aditibakes, a new start-up by a young Bhubaneswar-based couple, is rocking the shelves at happening stores and supermarkets across the city.

Interestingly, the spouse-entrepreneurs have turned the lockdown’s loneliness and stressful thoughts into a sweet and smooth business opportunity. While such similar situations have leveraged many entrepreneurs to start some something new and fresh, Aditibakes is growing rapidly with its hallmark reliability on quality, taste and best ingredients.

Trying to establish the milestone in homemade chocolates, sweets and snacks, Aditibakes is a young company based in Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Vihar area. It is founded by Aditi Priyadarshi and Purushottam Kumar during the COVID-19 pandemic situation. They have put in hard work to standardise the quality, packaging as well as an idea to score over others with a premium brand of chocolates with many varieties.

Being from a simple middle-class family and having no prior business knowledge to boast of, it was a challenge to establish Aditibakes in the market. Now they are getting orders in bulk and their chocolates are also sold in many major supermarkets.

Aditi believes that becoming an entrepreneur is not easy, especially for a mother of two and having lot of responsibilities at home. At the same time she adds that after tasting her chocolates, many have become permanent buyers and the list is increasing by the day.

“I have a sweet dream to expand my business with my husband and the plan is on the anvil to make Aditibakes a known name in culinary circles. I am getting a great response from the local people as traditional Odias are great lovers of sweets and the region is home to some of the best sweets,” she said.

For a wider reach, Aditibakes is now planning to collaborate with Swiggy and Zomato for delivery in Bhubaneswar and other parts of Odisha. Also, the couple is going to partner with e-commerce websites such as Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal for global reach to expand the reach of their sweet products for connoisseurs.

One can also order the sweet delights from the website Aditibakes.com.
