Bhubaneswar: Even as Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) commissioner Prem Chaudhary spoke about flattening of the curve in the city, the COVID-19 tally crossed 19000-mark and touched 19243 on Tuesday with 345 new cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the BMC, 101 are quarantine and 244 local contact cases.
Among the quarantine cases, three are bank staff, one private hospital employee and a cop. One case has also been reported from KIIT campus.
The local contact cases include eight government hospitals staff and one from a private hospital, besides a policeman. The highest of 13 cases have been reported from Laxmi Sagar and another nine from Sailashree Vihar.
The city also saw one COVID-19 death and 412 more patients getting cured of the infection in the last 24 hours.
With 69 deaths and 15354 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 3806 active cases.
