Bhubaneswar: The capital city reported 206 new COVID-19 cases during the last 24 hours against 264 the previous day. The number was 334 on Saturday.
Of the new cases registered, 57 were from quarantine and 149 were local contacts, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated in a tweet.
Of the local contacts, maximum 12 cases were reported from Nayapalli, followed by 9 from Old Town and 7 from Sailashree Vihar.
While 186 patients recovered from the disease, the number of the deceased has gone up to 934 with 23 fatalities from the virus.
The city now has 2,821 active cases and total positive cases have gone up to 1,02,267, the BMC stated.
