Bhubaneswar: The Capital City witnessed a jump in COVID-19 cases with 509 new positive cases registered in the last 24 hours, against 439 the previous day.
Among new cases, 90 are from quarantine and 419 through local contacts. The total number of cases in Bhubaneswar has now gone up to 84,118.
Patia reported 48 cases, followed by Dumduma (31), Khandagiri (27), Chandrasekharpur (19), Laxmisagar (16), Samantarapur (15), Nayapalli (13), Rasulgarh (12), Saheed Nagar (11) and Unit-9 (10).
On the other hand, 926 patients have recovered from the disease.
With 79,049 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 4,671 active cases.
