Bhubaneswar CP S Dev Dutta Singh Among 30 IPS Officers Empanelled For ADG Post At Centre



Bhubaneswar: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Wednesday approved empanelment of 30 IPS officers, including Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissioner of Police (CP) S Dev Dutta Singh, for Additional

Director General (ADG) or equivalent roles at the Centre.

These officers are of 1994-1998 batches.

Singh, a 1998-batch IPS officer, was appointed as the Commissioner of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police on September 29, 2024, replacing Sanjeeb Panda. The appointment was part of a major reshuffle of the IPS cadre in Odisha, which also included the appointment of new DCPs for the twin cities.

Singh officially took charge on September 30, 2024, at the Commissionerate Headquarters in Bhubaneswar. Prior to this, he served as the Additional Director General (ADG) of Police, CID-Crime Branch.
