Bhubaneswar & Cuttack Bali Jatras To Open On Same Date

Bhubaneswar: The opening date of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack Bali Jatras this year face a clash as both will be begin on November 15.

While the opening date of Cuttack Bali Jatra was decided on September, the decision on Bhubaneswar Bali Jatra was taken on Monday. The Bhubaneswar Bali Jatra Mahotsav Samiti took the decision at a meeting on the day,

Khurda district collector and all members of the Samiti attended the meeting. It was also decided that the Jatra would continue till November 24. But the Cuttack Bali Jatra, which will be organised on the banks of river Mahanadi, will continue for 8 days till November 22.

Khurda collector assured the Samiti members of all possible assistance in organising the Bali Jatra. The Commissionerate of Police will take necessary security measures for the safety of visitors and traders in the Jatra.
