Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has issued nowcast warning about rain and lightning for eight districts of Odisha by 6 pm on Saturday.
State capital Bhubaneswar and the millennium city of Cuttack are also among the areas likely to be affected, as per the warning issued by the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar.
Issuing yellow warning, the MeT Centre said light to moderate rain and thunderstorm with lightning is likely to affect some parts of the districts of Sonepur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Puri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city) and Cuttack (including Cuttack city) during the next 3 hours.
