Bhubaneswar: In order to promote awareness among people on preventive steps to check criminal activities in Odisha capital during Dussehra celebration, Commissionerate Police has issued an advisory.
In a video release, Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh has spoken on the matters that they need to be careful during the festive season.
The DCP advised the people to alert the police if they are going on a long leave closing the house to prevent burglary. If they are going for a short time for shopping or visiting puja pandals, they should inform their relatives or friends.
The people have been advised to use a two-wheeler while moving around the city and keep their vehicles under double lock in the parking space. They should not keep their important document or money in the dickey of the vehicle, the DCP advised.
During visit to puja pandals, he asked the people to always remain alert and keep watch on their belongings even if they are going in group.
For safe and peaceful celebration, the DCP requested the people to dial 112 and inform the police, if they find suspicious activities of anybody or suspect any outsider moving around in their locality.
