Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express train will remain cancelled on Thursday due to severe fog condition in the northern part of the country.
According to sources, the railways’ decided to cancel the train due to late running of Rajdhani Express Trains from Delhi.
A dense cover of fog lowered visibility to just 50 metres in Delhi, disrupting the movement of vehicles and trains on Wednesday, an IMD official told media.
The Palam observatory near the Indira Gandhi International Airport recorded a visibility level of 50 metres. At least 20 trains were delayed by an hour to 10 hours due to the foggy weather.
Notably, the minimum temperature in the national capital is likely to rise to 9 degrees Celsius on Thursday amid cloudy weather and light rain.
