Bhubaneswar: Rotarian Shekhar Mehta, president of Rotary International, inaugurated a state-of-the-art Retinopathy Diabetic Centre at the Rotary Eye Hospital, Pokhariput and a ‘Happy School’ sponsored by the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar, Royal under the Rotary India Literacy Mission, at Kanchilo, Tiranpada village, District Khordha on Friday.
The Rotary Eye Hospital in Pokhariput has been serving the poor and needy people of Odisha for more than seven years now. The new Retinopathy Centre will be offering services at a very economical price to the common people of the state.
Rotarian Shekhar Mehta also discussed the issue of Rotary’s participation in the state government’s content development for E-learning in schools with Satyabrat Sahu, Principal Secretary, Dept of School and Mass Education.
