Bhubaneswar: In another cheer for fliers from the capital city, direct flight from the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) to Goa will start operation from December 1.
Speaking to the media, BPIA director Pravat Ranjan Beuria on Saturday said the direct flights between Bhubaneswar and Goa will commence from December. The flights of Indigo airline will operate on all days of the week, he added.
Beuria said the flight service from Bhubaneswar will begin on December 1 while the return flight from Goa is scheduled from next day.
He further said the flight will take off from Bhubaneswar at 10.30 pm every day and the return flight from Goa will start at 1.35 pm.
Earlier in the day, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia in a letter to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had stated that Indigo airline will operate three flights in a week from Bhubaneswar to Jaipur from November 2.
