Bhubaneswar To Host ‘Srimati Bhubaneswari,’ A Talent Show For Married Women

Bhubaneswar: ‘Srimati Bhubaneswari,’ the first-of-its kind event for married women to showcase their talent, will be organised by Ambika Foundation in association with Creative Eye and Inner Wheel Club in Bhubaneswar on March 28.

The participants will be judged in two rounds-classical dance and fashion show. The winner and first runners-up will get a chance to act in a film and television serial respectively, while the second runners-up will be featured in a magazine. All the three will be presented with a cash award.

Women between the age group of 20 and 45 are eligible to participate in the event by paying a registration fee, said the founder Ambika Moharana adding that women from across Odisha and outside can take part in the competition.

“Three rounds of selection will be held in both the categories. The dress will be traditional Indian costume. The decision of the judges will be announced at an event after a month,” she added. The objective of the event is to bring out talent and confidence among married women.

Ambika Foundation has been working for the underprivileged women and children for last few years.
