Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Bar Association (BBA) on Saturday boycotted the Court of District and Sessions Judge, Khurda, here protesting against certain issues pertaining to the judge.
The lawyers alleged that the judge, Nisith Nishank, has not been cooperating with the Bar both on the administrative and judicial fronts from the date of his joining.
The lawyers said they had earlier attempted to resolve the issues amicably but did not get any response. They had also intimated the Orissa High Court in this regard, informed BBA president Rabi Narayan Samantray.
“We would continue our boycott on Monday onwards till the issues are resolved,” BBA secretary Raj Kishore Das.
