Bhubaneswar: All religious institutions in the state capital are most likely to reopen from August 23, Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Sanjay Singh said on Saturday.
He told this to the media after chairing a meeting of temple managing committees including Lingaraj Temple Board.
Singh said most members want the reopening from August 23. However, an internal meeting of the temple managing committees in this regard will be held soon, he added.
“The internal meeting, after reviewing the COVID-19 situation and the opinion of the members at the meeting held today, will take a final decision in this regard,” Singh said.
