Bhubaneswar: The capital city registered 266 COVID positive cases in the last 24 hours pushing the total caseload to 1,00,873. On Tuesday, the COVID positive cases stood at 223.
Of the new cases registered during the period, 62 were from quarantine and 204 local contacts, according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Of the local contact cases, 14 cases are from Nayapalli, 13 from Patia, and 9 from Kalinga Vihar.
As many as 226 patients recovered from the disease during the period while the number of deceased went up to 848. The city now has 2,624 active cases, the BMC stated.
