Bhubaneswar: The capital city reported 295 new COVID positive cases in the last 24 hours, taking up the total number of cases in the city to 94,273. On Monday, 271 people had tested positive for the virus.
Of the new cases, 53 were from quarantine and 242 were local contacts, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated in its tweet.
Of the local contact cases, 29 cases from Khandagiri followed by 15 from Patia, 10 each from Saheed Nagar and Old Town and 9 cases in Chandrasekhapur.
The city logged 316 recoveries while there are 1,103 active cases. The number of deceased has touched 532 with 12 more deaths registered in the city during the period.
