Bhubaneswar: Local MP Aparajita Sarangi on Sunday faced another allegation of violation of COVID-19 guidelines on Sunday.
One Raimohan Patnaik has lodged a complaint at Bolgarh police station alleging that Sarangi violated the COVID-19 norms during BJP’s ‘Mishran Parva’ organised at Patapur of Begunia block on Saturday.
Patnaik stated in the complaint that hundreds of people had attended the programme without wearing face masks, which is mandatory in a gathering, as per COVID-19 norms.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday sealed the MP’s office in Palaspalli of the capital city for 15 days for alleged violation of COVID-19 norms. It was alleged that she had attended her birthday function with several people without wearing face masks in the office.
