Bhubaneswar: Lok Sabha MP from Bhubaneswar Aparajita Sarangi has been nominated as Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU) vice president representing Asia Pacific Group.
The Asia Pacific Group consists of MPs from the Inter-Parliamentary Union. The IPU Assembly was held in Geneva this year in March.
Sarangi is a member of the IPU Executive Committee and her mandate as the IPU vice president will end in October 2026.
Sarangi shared details about her nomination on her X handle. “Got the intimation from our Lok Sabha Secretariat. I am humbled,” she stated.
