New Delhi: A flyover at Cosmopolis Square in the capital city and two foot over-bridges have been allowed by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi informed this through her tweet on Wednesday.
Expressing her gratitude to Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari, she said as the desired by the residents of her constituency, she had been requesting for the approval of the projects, which has been allowed.
The two FOBs will come up in two busy areas of the city – near Hotel Crown and Satsang Vihar. It may be mentioned that in July 2021, the National Highway Authority Of India (NHAI) had approved construction of the two FOBs for the safety of pedestrians.
The Capital Region Ring Road (CRRR) has also been allowed by the Union Minister. The CRRR, on the other hand, was approved by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in April 2021.
The CRRR will provide a parallel connectivity of NH-16 bypassing Khurda town, Bhubaneswar city, Athagarh town, Cuttack city and Choudwar town. It will originate from Rameswar on NH-16, pass through NH-55 at Govindpur and terminate near Tangi on NH-16.
The 111.2-km CRRR is proposed to be developed as 6-lane carriageway including a major six-lane bridge over river Mahanadi.
