Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police on Saturday announced to reward (Rs 50,000) anybody who would help them in identifying the woman, whose headless body was found near Dasapur on Bharatpur-Chandaka Road on Thursday.
Identity of the informer will be kept confidential, the tweet said.
Releasing the identification of the woman, police said that she was about 30-35 years old and had a wheatish complexion. She was 5.3 feet tall. A Trishul (trident) is inked below the elbow of her right hand.
Two telephone numbers — 8280338323 and 8280338296 — have been issued for the purpose.
Quoting the first postmortem report received from Capital Hospital here, police, earlier in the day, had told the media that the woman was beheaded with a sharp weapon after being strangled to death.
The body has again been sent to AIIMS-Bhubaneswar here for another postmortem.
