Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police has red-flagged the Laxmisagar gangrape case.
The incident took place on the night of February 26.
According to the complaint lodged by the survivor at Laxmisagar police station on March 16, four miscreants forced her into their car at gunpoint when she was on the way to a relative’s house and raped her inside a house for two days. Another three of their associates had also raped her.
Acting on the complaint, police red-flagged this case and begun a manhunt to nab the accused.
Police on Monday produced the survivor before the local magistrate, who recorded her statement under Section 164 of the CrPC.
Informing the media, Bhubaneswar DCP Umashankar Das said that a special team led by the additional DCP is conducting the probe.
Five persons have already been interrogated in this connection, he added.
