Bhubaneswar: The capital city saw a rise in new COVID-19 cases with 339 positives reported in the last 24 hours against 281 on Monday.
Of the new cases, 48 are from quarantine and 291 local contacts, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation stated in its tweet.
Patia reported the highest of 26 cases, followed by Dumduma (22), Patrapada (15), Nayapalli (12) and IRC Village (11).
The last 24 hours also saw five COVID deaths and 340 patients getting cured of the infection.
Among the fatalities were four men and one woman in the age group of 44 to 69. One had no co-morbidities. With this, the city now has 1,311 active cases.
The aggregate caseload of the city has reached 89,805, while 445 people have died and 88,028 have recovered from the virus.
