Bhubaneswar: The people of Bhubaneswar experienced a hot day on Friday as the capital city recorded the highest temperate in the state.
According to evening bulletin of the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bhubaneswar and Malkangiri registered highest day temperature of 38 degree Celsius on Friday. While the capital city witnessed a rise in temperature from 37 degree on Thursday, Talcher, Nayagarh and Boudh registered a drop of one degree from yesterday’s 38 degree Celsius.
On Friday, Angul, Talcher, Balangir and Boudh recorded 37 degree Celsius or more. On the other hand, seaside towns Puri, Gopalpur and Paradip were relatively cooler with 32, 31.2 and 32.4 degree Celsius respectively.
The ID has forecast that the day temperature is likely to remain 3 to 4 degree Celsius above normal at a few places in Odisha during the next 5 days.
In Bhubaneswar, maximum and minimum temperature is very likely to be around 36 degree Celsius and 21 degree Celsius respectively.
