Bhubaneswar Reports 811 New COVID Cases; 16 Children In 1 to 10 Age Group Infected

Bhubaneswar: The capital city saw a marginal drop in daily COVID-19 cases with 811 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

Bhubaneswar had registered 1001 cases on Sunday.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 168 of the fresh infections are from quarantine and 643 local contacts. Among them are 16 children in the age group between 1 and 10.

Maximum cases have been reported from Patia (58), followed by Khandagiri (36),  Patrapada (32), Chandrasekharpur (31), Old Town (27), Dumduma and Nayapalli  (21 each), Badagada, Baramunda, Jharpada and Laxmisagar (17 each).

Meanwhile, 1,046 more patients recovered in the last 24 hours.

With this, Bhubaneswar now has 11,250 active cases.
