Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital reported less than 100 new COVID-19 cases for the second consecutive day, on Tuesday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 88 new infections were detected in the last 24 hours which took the affected tally to 28782.
These 88 cases are among 206 reported from Khurda.
Among them, 71 local contact cases and 17 quarantine cases.
The day, however, saw four more persons of the city succumbing to the disease.
The BMC also informed about 230 more patients getting cured of the infection since Monday.
With 158 deaths and 26607 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 1996 active cases.
