Bhubaneswar: The 100-plus run of COVID-19 positive cases continued in the Capital City for third day on Thursday when 108 persons were identified to have contracted the virus.
There were 103 and 101 positive cases on Wednesday and Tuesday respectively.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), of the day’s cases, 88 were from local contacts and the rest 20 were from quarantine ones.
Among local contacts, maximum 11 cases were reported from Khandagiri area, followed by 7 from Old Town and 5 each from Nayapalli and Patia.
Of the quarantine cases, Nayapalli registered the highest 3 patients.
While 50 patients have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, the city has 669 active cases at present. The total caseload has gone up to 33,043 in the city.
