Bhubaneswar Reports Two More Deaths, Odisha COVID-19 Toll Rises To 580

Bhubaneswar: Another 11 COVID-19 patients succumbed to the infection in Odisha in the last 24 hours, taking the toll to 580 on Wednesday.

These fatalities have been reported from Ganjam, Khurda, Kandhamal and Balangir districts.

The Health Department identified the deceased as:

1.A 72-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from hypertension, diabetes and coronary artery disease.

2.A 70-year-old female of Bhubaneswar.

3. A 65-year-old female of Balangir district who was also suffering from hypertension.

4.A 62-year-old male of Ganjam district.

5.A 60-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from hypertension.

6.A 55-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes.

7.A 65-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes, hypertension.

8.A 50-year-old male of Kandhamal district who was also suffering from diabetes.

9. A 75-year-old female of Khurda district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension and acute kidney injury.

10.A 46-year-old male of Keonjhar district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.

11.A 46-year-old male of Puri district.

With these 11 new casualties, the virus has so far claimed 210 lives in Ganjam district, followed by 79 in Khurda, 39 in Cuttack, 38 in Sundargarh, 29 in Rayagada, 18 in Gajapati, 17  in Puri, 17 in Nayagarh, 15 each in Sambalpur, 15 in Balasore, 11 in Kandhamal, nine each in Bargarh and Bhadrak, nine in Balangir, seven each in Malkangiri and Keonjhar, six each in Jajpur, five each in Mayurbhanj and Koraput, four each in Jagatsinghpur, and Angul, three each in Kendrapada and Kalahandi, two each in Sonepur, Dhenkanal, Nabarangpur and one in Jharsuguda.
