Bhubaneswar Sees Slight Drop In New COVID-19 Cases

Bhubaneswar: Amid COVID-19 resurgence fear, the Odisha capital saw a slight drop in new infections with four persons testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

The city has seen nine and six new cases in the last two days.

All four new infections are local contact cases, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) tweeted on Friday.

While two have been reported from Chandrasekharpur, one each from Unit-4 and Kalinga Vihar.

The last 24 hours also saw five patients getting cured of the disease.

A total of 31,975 people have been infected by the virus in Bhubaneswar so far and 31,632 among them have recovered. While 248 have succumbed to the disease, the city now has 74 active cases.
