Bhubaneswar: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL) Sanjay Kumar Singh on Tuesday set the deadline of completion of the BMC-ICOMC building in the city by year-end.
During a visit to the site in Unit IX area, Singh reviewed progress of the work and discussed the arrangement of floors to accommodate the offices of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Intelligent City Operations and Management Centre (ICOMC). The building, which will have 12 floors, would accommodate five floors for commercial office space.
According to Smart City sources, lower ground floor, upper ground floor, third and fourth floors will be allocated to BMC while first floor and second floor will go to ICOMC. The fifth floor will be allocated for Smart City office.
Having systems like incident management with public address system, traffic and speed management for vehicles and number plate recognition through the digital cameras installed across various locations of the city, this building will be a state-of-the-art facility for the ICOMC.
The building coming up on 2,31,000 square feet area is under progress with an estimated cost of Rs 73 crore.
