Bhubaneswar To Open Three More Drive-In Vaccination Sites Tomorrow; Booking Starts Today

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation on Monday announced that it will launch drive-in vaccination facilities at three more sites in the city.

The three new sites are the parking lot at Utkal Kanika Galleria mall at Kalpana Square, the parking lot at Symphony mall at Rudrapur and the KIIT University cricket stadium at Patia.

BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary said a total of 300 slots per location will be available from May 11 to May 15. Bookings will start for the slots from 6 pm on Monday, he added.

Chaudhary said city the denizens above 45 years who have already taken the first dose, can book their slots for the second jab at these centres.

He further said no vehicle will be allowed inside the vaccination centres without slot booking.

Notably, BMC had launched the first such drive-in vaccination facility at Esplanade Mall on May 8
