Bhubaneswar: As Tamil Nadu prepares to host the 14th edition of the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup, the organisers have arranged a grand nationwide Trophy Tour.
The Trophy Tour, which kicked off on November 7, during the Hockey India Centenary Celebrations at Delhi’s Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, will cover 20 cities in India.
On Thursday, the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup Tamil Nadu 2025 Trophy reached Odisha capital Bhubaneswar, after covering 13 cities including New Delhi.
Odisha’s Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water minister Rabi Narayan Naik unveiled the Trophy in the presence of Director Sports Dr Vijay Yeddula, Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey, senior officials of DSYS and Odisha Hockey, and Olympians at Kalinga Stadium.

The Trophy Tour — aimed to build excitement for the tournament from November 28 to December 10 in Chennai and Madurai – has already covered New Delhi, Panchkula, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jammu, Lucknow, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Kolkata, Raipur, Ranchi, Patna, before travelling to Bhubaneswar.
Odisha holds a special place for Indian hockey as it sponsors the national hockey teams, and hosted the 2021 Junior World Cup as well as the last two editions of the senior Men’s World Cup (2018 Bhubaneswar and 2023 Bhubeneswar & Rourkela).
The Trophy Tour will next travel to Guwahati, followed by Pune, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram.
