Bhubaneswar: Rain accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning is likely to lash at least five districts of Odisha on Monday night. State capital Bhubaneswar is also expected to be affected, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
In a message, the IMD issued a yellow warning for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city), Nayagarh and Cuttack districts.
Light rain or thunderstorm with lightning may occur at some places in these districts in next two hours. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather conditions and be ready to move to safe places to protect themselves from lightning.
