Cuttack: A youth from Bhubaneswar on Wednesday jumped into Kathjodi river, here and his body was recovered later.
According to sources, the youth, identified as Sapan Kumar Behera of Kharavela Nagar in the capital city, had gone missing on Tuesday. His family had filed a complaint in this regard at the local police station.
Before the family members or police could trace 29-year-old Sapan, he came on a scooter to Kathjodi bridge and jumped into the river today morning. The locals informed the police about the incident.
The police arrived at the spot and searched the area. As they failed to trace Sapan, an ODRAF team started search operation and recovered his body.
While the reason of Sapan, who worked as a courier boy, taking the extreme step has not been confirmed, the police have started investigation.
