Chief commissioner of Bhubaneswar Zone, R Mangababu, said attributed the growth in tax collection to increased industrial and economic activities. In March, 2022, Central GST revenue of Rs 1465 crore was collected from the taxpayers administered by the Central Government with a growth of 43% over the same period last year.
The sectoral analysis of revenue collection from top 100 taxpayers of the zone reveals that steel, mining and mining services and works contract services sectors have registered a phenomenal growth during the current fiscal.
