Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Friday arrested Chief Civil Supplies Officer, Bhubaneswar, Prashanta Kumar Gantayat for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According to a Vigilance release, Gantayat was found in possession of disproportionate assets, including 2 multi-storey buildings in Bhubaneswar, 2 flats, 5 plots, including 3 in Bhubaneswar and deposits worth Rs 1. 48 crore which he could not account for satisfactorily. Gold weighing 536 gm, Rs.1.21 lakh in cash, and a four wheeler were also recovered during raids the previous day.
He will be produced before the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, the release added.

1. An under-construction triple-storey building worth around Rs 83 lakh at Pandara in Bhubaneswar
2. A double-storey building (VIM-192) at Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar.
3. An apartment at Neelachal City on Canal Road, Badagada, Laxmi Sagar in Bhubaneswar.
4. Another apartment at village Bhabanipur, Berhampur-II of Neelachal Heights.
5. Five plots, three in prime areas of Bhubaneswar.
6. Gold weighing 536 grams
7. Bank, insurance deposits of over Rs 1.48 crore
8. Rs 1,21,960 in cash
9. One 4-wheeler and two 2-wheelers
