Bhubaneswar: After remaining low for the last few days, the daily COVID cases in the capital city crossed the 300 mark, with 317 new positive cases reported in the last 24 hours. The city had registered 291 new positive cases on Monday, 231 on Sunday and 211 the previous day.
Of the new cases on the day, 74 were from quarantine and 243 were local contacts, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated in its tweet.
The city had logged 331 recoveries while 1,128 active cases were reported. The number of deceased has touched 480 with 5 more deaths registered in the city.
Till today, 90,329 patients have recovered from the virus. The total number of cases in Bhubaneswar has now gone up to 91,958.
