Bhubaneswar’s New COVID Cases Decline Further

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital saw a further drop in daily COVID-19 cases with 566 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. On Saturday, 592 people tested positive for the virus.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 112 are from quarantine and 454 local contact cases.

The last 24 hours also saw 1,231 patients getting cured of the disease. With this, Bhubaneswar now has 8,796 active cases.

The city also saw four more deaths during this period, which took the toll to 355.

The highest of 42 cases have been reported from Patia, followed by Old Town (26), Nayapalli (25), Khandagiri (22), Jharpada (17), Baramunda (16) and Patrapada (16 each).

On June 4, Bhubaneswar had registered 753 new infections and 898 the day before.
