Bhubaneswar’s SOA Hotel Management Institute Honoured At Times Hospitality Event

Bhubaneswar: The School of Hotel Management (SHM), Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to Be University’s faculty of hospitality and tourism management, was honoured at the Times Hospitality Icons event.

SHM was chosen as Odisha’s ICONIC Hospitality Management Institute for 2023.

SHM Dean Prof. Susant Ranjan Chaini received the award from actress Shamita Shetty at the event held here on Tuesday.

SHM was recognised for being a responsible upwardly mobile hospitality institute engaged in developing and implementing skill development programmes, setting standards in global hospitality education and collaborating with industry stakeholders to enhance skills in the tourism and hospitality sector.

Prof. Chaini spoke on the hospitality sector of Odisha and the role of institutes like SHM in grooming future professionals.

Eminent personalities like legendary sand artiste Sudarshan Pattnaik, Restaurant Association of Odisha vice-president Samir Hans and Swosti Group of Hotels vice-president Priyanath Behera were also present.
