Bhubaneswar: Governor and Chancellor of Universities Ganeshi Lal has appointed Prof Bibhuti Bhusan Biswal as Vice Chancellor of Odisha University of Technology and Research, Bhubaneswar, for a period of four years.
Currently, he is serving as the director of National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya (NIT-Meghalaya).
Biswal did his PhD at Jadavpur University. Production Engineering (FMS, Robotics, Mechatronics, CIM, CAD/CAM), Optimization Techniques in Production Engineering, Product Design, Rapid Product Development, Quality Engineering are his field of specialisation.
Prior to NIT-Meghalaya, he had a stint with at National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, (2004-2017) and VSSUT, Burla (1992-2004).
Last year, he was conferred with “Educational Leadership Award” by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT). Earlier, he was awarded “Bharat Shiksha Gaurav Puraskar” by the KTK Outstanding Achievers and Education Foundation for his outstanding performances and contributions in the field of education.
