Bhubaneswar: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has initiated the process for the construction of six-lane Access Controlled Capital Region Ring Road for Odisha capital, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi informed on Saturday.
The process of work execution for the 40.7 km six-lane road to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1715.31 crore from Rameshwar to Bilipada has started, the Lok Sabha members said in a post on X handle.
“I am delighted to know that the long pending demand for CAPITAL REGION RING ROAD is getting met. The process of work execution starts. 40 kms Road (6 lanes) worth Rs 1715 crore from Rameshwar will start in my Bhubaneswar Constituency. I had pursued it for long,” Aparajita said on X.
The NHAI has started bidding process for selection of a private entity to execute the project to be implemented on hybrid annuity mode.
Bid must be submitted online during the validity of registration with the NHAI e-Tendering portal on or before January 9, 2025. Technical submission of the bids received online will be opened on January 10, 2025 at 11.30 am.
