Big B Shares Unverified Pic On Twitter, Netizens Call Him ‘King Of Fake News’

Bhubaneswar: The ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ host Amitabh Bachchan has annoyed the netizens once again by retweeting an unverified picture of satellite India, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s #9pm9minutes light off call to express solidarity in the fight against COVID-19

On Sunday night, Senior Bachchan retweeted a picture which was captioned as, “When the world was wavering! Hindustan was shining! Today’s picture is telling this.”

However, later it was found that the picture was a photoshopped image of Google’s visualisation of the global effects of the #MeToo movement.

Soon, netizens started trolling Big B for sharing a fake WhatsApp forward on his Twitter handle.

One netizen tweeted, “And the #KingOfFakeNews is back appreciating a Whatsapp forward. Request @TwitterIndia to suspend him and save us the daily embarrassment.” (sic)

Another user posted, “Whatsapp ruined the celebs by unmasking them and exposing their superlative levels of stupidity.”

Earlier, the actor had tweeted a fake theory which claimed that vibrations from clapping and blowing conch shells on ‘amavasya’ would have destroyed the coronavirus.

His tweet was criticized by the netizens, following which the actor deleted the post.
