Big B Shares Wedding Pics With Jaya Bachchan On 47th Marriage Anniversary

Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to share unseen wedding pictures wife Jaya Bachchan on the occasion of their 47th marriage anniversary on Wednesday.

The couple tied the knot on June 3, 1973.

Big B also tweeted about the story of his marriage. He wrote, “47 years.. today .. June 3, 1973..!! Had decided if ‘Zanjeer’ succeeded we, with few friends would go to London, first time, to celebrate.. Father asked who you going with? When I told him who he said, you will marry her then go.. else you don’t go.. I obeyed! (sic).”

Amitabh and Jaya have worked in many classics together. They first came together on screen in the 1972 film, Bansi Birju. Some of the other films in which they worked together include Abhimaan, Ek Nazar, Silsila, Chupke Chupke and Sholay.
