Bigg Boss 19: Awez Darbar Calls Out Tanya Mittal, Neelam Giri For Body-Shaming Ashnoor Kaur

Mumbai: Evicted ‘Bigg Boss 19 contestant Awez Darbar called out housemates Tanya Mittal and Neelam Giri for body-shaming Ashnoor Kaur on the show.

In a recent live feed video, shared by Ashnoor’s team on her Instagram handle, she is seen apologising to Farrhana Bhatt for breaking a house rule. The clip then shows Tanya, Kunickaa Sadanand and Neelam commenting on Ashnoor’s weight, despite her regular gym sessions.

Amaal Mallik and Shehbaz Badeshah are also seen discussing the issue.

Neelam is seen asking Kunickaa and Tanya, “Jurassic Park dekhoge? (Do you want to see Jurassic Park?)”, while pointing towards Ashnoor who was standing with Pranit More.

Reposting the video on his Instagram Stories, Awez wrote, “Disgusting remarks like always!!! But I know @ashnoorkaur is strong she will handle it with grace”.

Besides Awez, several other celebrities defended Ashnoor.

Extending her support to Ashnoor, Jannat Zubair wrote on her Insta stories, “A person’s body is not public property for jokes and opinions. It’s 2025. We should’ve evolved past body shaming by now. She’s on that stage because she’s talented, confident and unstoppable, not because she fits someone’s idea of a “perfect body”. Proud of you @ashnoorkaur for holding your head high and being You! (white heart emoji. (sic)”

Ashnoor’s ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ co-star and former ‘Bigg Boss 10’ contestant Rohan Mehra also slammed Kunickaa, Tanya and Neelam for their remarks.

He wrote, “Body shaming is unacceptable. What happened to @ashnoorkaur today was wrong and needs to be called out. Respect and kindness should be the bare minimum. Shame on you, @iam_kunickaasadanand, @neelamgiri_, and @tanyamittalofficial (sic),” along with a thumbs down emoji.

Meanwhile, except for Mridul Tiwari, Ashnoor Kaur, and Abhishek Bajaj, all the other contestants have been nominated for eviction.
