Mumbai: ‘Bigg Boss 19′ contestant Kunickaa Sadanand admitted that she dated a married man, apparently singer Kumar Sanu, for six years.
The actresses’ son Ayaan Lall also opened up about his mother’s relationship with the singer and described it as a ‘very toxic affair’.
In an interview with Sidharth Kanan, Ayaan said while his mother is not in a relationship with the singer anymore, but admires his work.
Ayaan further shared that he was born years after his mother’s affair with Sanu, and has never met him.
“She genuinely loves the artiste. She doesn’t love the man anymore, I can promise. And my mother isn’t the obsessive type. It isn’t an ego thing. When I googled him, and asked her about him, she said, ‘He was a very important man in my life. I used to look at him as a soulmate, and everyone should experience that kind of love once in their life.’ It was toxic. Very, very toxic,” Ayaan shared.
Kunickaa had kept their relationship under wraps as she didn’t want to tarnish the image of a married man.
Ayaan said both he and his mother are still healing from the painful past.
Reflecting on the strong bond which he shares with his mother, Ayaan said, “when I had girlfriends, my mother had boyfriends.”
Kunickaa, who has worked in films and television, is also a social activist and a trained lawyer.
