‘Bigg Boss 19’ Winner Gaurav Khanna Dedicates Victory To Fans & The Common Man

Mumbai: Much-loved television star Gaurav Khanna, who lifted the ‘Bigg Boss 19’ trophy, beating co-contestant Farrhana Bhatt in the grand finale, has dedicated his victory to the common man and fans.

Talking about his journey, Gaurav told ANI, “I want to dedicate this journey to my fans because without them, this wouldn’t have been possible. This is the victory of a common man. People questioned him a lot, mocked him, just as it happens in the life of an ordinary person. Their bosses and colleagues question them endlessly, but they keep going. That was the journey, and I am very happy to be a normal man.”

Asked if people liked him because of his dignified gameplay, Gaurav quipped, “I also believe that truth and goodness always prevail, and in a show like Bigg Boss, I wanted to prove that it’s not necessary to hurl abuses, fight, or break things to be noticed. I wanted to win the show without all that — speaking only when needed and not reacting when someone tried to provoke me. I am very happy to have won the show.”

Even as Gaurav was a silent observer and played the game from the back foot for most of the season, towards the end, he did give a strong competition to Farrhana Bhatt and Tanya Mittal by opening up and taking stands when needed.

Even host Salman Khan lauded Gaurav for his calm and composed behaviour on the show.

Salman also confirmed that

he will be collaborating with Gaurav for a project soon.

Undeserving winner, says Farrhana

‘Bigg Boss 19’ runner up Farrhana called Gaurav an undeserving winner, alleging that he never did anything on the show.

Talking about her journey, Farrhana told Filmygyan, “I am truly satisfied. Though I don’t have the trophy in my hand, I am the star of this season, which I definitely believe. As people say, this season is Farrhana Bhatt’s season. I can’t believe people have given me so much love. I needed this love more than the trophy.”

Expressing her dissatisfaction over Gaurav’s victory, Farrhana added: “I don’t really think so because he never did anything in Bigg Boss. Not even one thing he has done makes him look like a winner. But since he has been on TV and this reality show airs on TV, he might have his TV audience who voted for him. So, respect to them and their choice.”

In contrast to Gaurav’s style, Farrhana created chaos, triggered fights and was frequently criticised for using abusive language in the Bigg Boss 19 house.

After 14 weeks of drama, fights, friendships, and unexpected twists, the ‘Bigg Boss 19’ grand finale was held on December 7.

The finalists were Gaurav, Farrhana, Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal and Pranit More.

The finale featured amazing performances, emotional throwbacks, shocking eliminations, and finally, Gaurav was crowned the winner of the season with Farrhana declared as runner-up.

Along with the trophy, Gaurav took home a cash prize of Rs 50 lakhs.

Actors Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday appeared in the finale to promote their upcoming film ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’.

Sunny Leone and Karan Kundrra also joined the finale celebrations to promote ‘Splitsvilla X6’.
