Mumbai: ‘Bigg Boss 20’ has achieved a major viewership milestone, crossing 100 crore watch-time hours in less than 60 days since its premiere.
With this feat, the reality show has become the fastest season in the franchise to reach the landmark.
According to JioStar, the ongoing season has garnered over 350 crore votes, marking a 71% increase over the previous season. The number of viewers participating in the voting process has also risen by 48%.
The show’s popularity has extended beyond India, too. Since its launch, it has consistently featured among JioHotstar’s top five titles in the UK, Canada and Singapore.
In the UAE, it currently ranks as the No. 1 show on Starzplay and has remained among the platform’s top 10 titles since its debut.
Reacting to the achievement, host Salman Khan said, “Bigg Boss ka asli game sirf ghar ke andar nahi, ghar ke bahar bhi chalta hai, jahaan audience har moment se judi rehti hai (The real game of Bigg Boss doesn’t just take place inside the house; it also unfolds outside, where the audience stays connected to every single moment). Reaching 100 crore watch-time hours on JioHotstar is a testament to the incredible love and connection our viewers share with the show.”
He dedicated the milestone to the viewers and thanked them for their continued support throughout the show’s journey.
Since its September 6 premiere on JioHotstar and Colors TV, Bigg Boss Hindi Season 20 has witnessed several contestant exits.
