Mumbai: It was announced four months ago that ‘Animal’, one of the top grossers among Hindi movies in 2023-24, will have a sequel.

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga announced recently that ‘Animal Park’ will go on the floors in 2026.

Speaking at an award show, Vanga also spoke about the possibility of a Sandeep Reddy Cinematic Universe.

Asked to divulge details about ‘Animal Park’, Vanga said that it will be bigger and wilder than ‘Animal’.

He also spoke about creating a Sandeep Reddy Cinematic Universe, where Ranbir, Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Deverakonda and Prabhas may share screen.

Vanga, whose next project is ‘Spirit’ with Prabhas and is also teaming up with Allu Arjun for another film, felt Suriya would have been the best fit if ‘Animal’ was made in Tamil.

Besides Ranbir in the lead role, ‘Animal’ also starred Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri.

Audience and critics were divided over the film, which however created wonders at the box office and earned nearly Rs 1000 crore in domestic and global markets.
