New Delhi: Tw0-timing cost this young man, all of 19, from Bihar heavy, as he landed up marrying both his lady loves within a month. In both cases, he went to meet the women at their house and was caught twice, after which villagers got him married. This case was registered at the Malaypur Police Station of Jamui, News18 reported.
Vinod Kumar, a resident of Akshara village met Preeti Kumari of Navkadih village of Lakshmipur police station area, on Facebook. Reportedly, the woman was already married and had a child, but she had fallen in love with Vinod, and both did not care about her previous wedding or family.
Vinod Kumar planned to meet Preeti on April 22. To his utter shock, when he reached her house, the villagers noticed him, took the couple to the temple and got them married forcefully. Vinod returned to his house with the woman and started living like a married couple.
However, before marrying Preeti, Vinod had an affair with another woman. He used to work as a DJ in the village and often played the song recommendations of Girija Kumari. They ended up falling in love. Despite his marriage to Preeti Kumari, he kept in touch with Girija on the sly. One day, he reached his girlfriend’s house but here too, he got caught by the villagers. They took the couple to the temple and got them married forcefully. Within 20 days, he got married to two women. While his first wife, Preeti filed a complaint at the police station about his husband remarrying for the second time, his second wife, Girija disclosed that she has no objection and can live with their family.
In an interview with Local18, Police Officer Mahesh Singh said they would take action only upon receiving a written complaint.
