Bike-Borne Miscreants Critically Injure Man, Loot Rs 80,000 In Odisha’s Angul

Angul: Unidentified miscreants looted Rs 80,000 from a medicine representative after attacking him with a sharp weapon in Bagadia area of Odisha’s Angul district on Thursday.

The incident took place at Nuapada under the jurisdiction of Bagadia police station in the district on. The victim has been identified as Sameer Kumar Das of Budhapala area.

Sources said Sameer was returning home with the money when two bike-borne miscreants waylaid him and attacked him with a sharp weapon. After causing him serious injuries, the two snatched the bag containing the cash. They also damaged his mobile phone and sped away from the spot.

Sameer, who sustained grievous injuries, was rushed to Chhendipada Hospital for treatment.

A written complaint was lodged at the Bagadia police station. The police have launched an investigation into the incident. Efforts are on to nab the miscreants.
